These guys go way back. Dr. Jolly’s refers both to the cultivars and to the retail location in Bend, Oregon that serves as central Oregon’s first state-licensed dispensary. They built their reputation on compassionate, locally-grown lab-tested cannabis, and the level of education they offer their customers along with their product. Dr. Jolly’s produces a staggering variety of flowers, edibles, extracts, and topicals, exploring the full spectrum of what cannabis has to offer. There’s no singular Dr. Jolly, instead the name refers to the two brothers who founded Dr. Jolly’s. Jolly is the youngest, and he’s been cultivating medicinal cannabis for patients around Bend, Oregon, ever since 2007. You can’t buy that kind of experience! Often described as charismatic, energetic, and hard-working, no one takes more pride in their grow than Jolly. ﻿He has a natural knack for sniffing out fine herbs and growing each plant to its fullest potential. In 2011, Jolly’s 818 Headband strain won the High Times Medical Cup for its rush of creative, cerebral energy and lemon diesel flavor. Doctor is actually the older brother of the two. He used to be a materials engineer and editor of a science journal. When it was time for his brother’s passion project to turn pro, Doctor joined Jolly in Bend during 2013 to found Dr. Jolly’s in April of 2014—just six years before Pot Mates opened its doors. They grow all of their flower using no-till grow techniques and organic nutrients, raising their own worms so the plants grow up in living soil beds. This process reduces trash, recycles the soil, and produces the best-tasting flower possible. Dr. Jolly’s has the deepest roots in all of central Oregon’s cannabis communities, always on the lookout for new ways to share the benefits of cannabis with others. Melonade Mimosa is one of those surreal sativas that almost feels sedative in the way it greases the wheels of free association in your brain. Maybe it's more of a Richard Linklater high where everything goes with the flow seamlessly from one state to another. We don't know whether to recommend it for people who have trouble sleeping, since it induces such a dream-like quality, or for people who are trying to keep on good terms with their creative muse.
In either case, Melonade Mimosa is here for people who like it when weed tickles their cerebellum. It's got a flavor that's slightly reminiscent of licorice until you're on the exhale, and then you'll realize that it actually reminds you of something else you can't quite put your finger on. Licorice was our best guess, but feel free to let us know how you'd describe it. It will certainly make you loquacious.

We'll tell you this for free—don't keep this Banana Jealousy extract in the kitchen. Otherwise, you might mistake it for some exotic new Banana Butter and accidentally make your morning toast take you to space. This concentrate from Dr. Jolly's is so fragrant and aromatic, so sticky sweet, it would be right at home on the condiments shelf. Alas, it is not a condiment.
Instead, Banana Jealousy is a cross between (you guessed it!) Banana Cream Cake and Jealousy. It's a hybrid that's ever-so-left of center, leaning to the indica side of the cannabis pies. This is no Grape Pie, Key Lime Pie, or even Georgia Pie; no, this is the sort of pie that will leave you satisfied and smiling. Banana Jealousy has a lower THC percentage than a lot of other concentrates which greatly reduces the likelihood that you'll end up higher than you wanted to be.
