LOWD is a phenomenal cannabis company that represents Pacific Northwestern urban cannabis culture with class and style. They strive to exist at the intersection of urban culture and epic nature that you can only find in Portland. That starts with a respect for the rich history of marijuana and the process of bringing it to market. Jesce Horton and Dave Murray, LOWD's founders, spent decades sampling the best landrace strains and most ingenious hybrids from all over the world. Separately, they each started growing in their own basements during the early 2000's medical cannabis revolution. Now they hand-select and approve each strain that LOWD cultivates with the goal of bringing their favorite genetics to the people who would enjoy them the most. They built a crew full of people with deep but diverse roots in the cannabis industry. There are people also got started with their own home grows and others who have years of experience working in commercial warehouse facilities. LOWD has dedicated teams for cultivation, operations, and maintenance tasks. LOWD's signature line is their Smoke Like A Grower (SLAG™) series, the tippy top of the cola on the highest shelf in the shop. LOWD's SLAG strains come in collectible, ultraviolet-resistant glass jars to preserve the underlying integrity of the buds and keep everything as fresh as possible. LOWD believes that the best thing about being a cannabis grower is smoking like one, and that means focusing on the highest-quality genetics, a meticulous hand-trimming process, and precision curing. Of course, it's not enough just to grow fire cannabis—and LOWD knows it. They believe that a responsible weed farm needs to uplift the people who have sacrificed their freedom and their lives during cannabis prohibition and work to repair the harms done by the failed War on Drugs. They support NuProject in Portland, an organization working to increase inclusion and community restoration, the Resource Innovation Institute, which works to make the indoor agriculture industry more sustainable and efficient, and the Oregon Cannabis Association, a leading force in the growth of small businesses within the Oregon cannabis market.

Snow Day by LOWD is a sativa-leaning hybrid that blends chill and clarity with effortless style—born from the cross of Mt. Hood Magic and the classic Northern Lights. With 21.5% THC and 22.7% total cannabinoids, this cultivar delivers an uplifting head high that’s crisp and focused, followed by a gentle body calm that never drags you down. Expect a cool, earthy inhale with piney sweetness and a subtle herbal finish—like stepping out into fresh powder with nowhere to be but the moment.

What makes Snow Day truly hit different is LOWD’s commitment to detail at every stage of the grow. A Black-owned, legacy cannabis brand rooted in Portland, LOWD (Love Our Weed Daily) blends top-tier cultivation with deep community connection—crafting flower that’s not just premium, but purposeful. Their small-batch indoor approach ensures trichome-rich buds, dialed-in terpene retention, and the kind of smooth, flavorful smoke that only comes from obsessive care.

The effects of Snow Day are likely shaped by a terpene profile heavy in Limonene, Pinene, and Myrcene—boosting mood, sharpening focus, and easing tension in equal measure. It’s a strain built for sparking creativity, outdoor wandering, or simply pressing pause on the stress of the day. Whether you’re lighting up to find inspiration or escape into stillness, Snow Day is your invitation to slow it down and stay lifted—with LOWD-quality in every hit.

LOWD’s Mint Spritzer takes the already heavy-hitting Platinum Garlic Cookies x Cake Mints lineage and cranks it up with precision cultivation and terp-loaded fire. Testing at 24.4% THC and 25.2% total cannabinoids, this strain is a knockout hybrid with flavor as loud as its high. Each inhale is creamy and sweet with herbal gas undertones, while the exhale leaves a cool, minty finish that lingers smooth.
The terpene stack is what makes Mint Spritzer shine: β-myrcene (0.76%) slams you into stoney relaxation, β-caryophyllene (0.15%) adds spicy depth and stress relief, while limonene (0.09%) and linalool (0.04%) sneak in flashes of citrus lift and floral calm. Supporting terps like pinene and humulene round out the mix with crisp pine and earthy grounding. The effect hits fast—a euphoric haze up top that cascades into a body-heavy calm, locking you into bliss without a fight.
LOWD doesn’t just grow flower—they engineer experiences. With dialed-in genetics, careful curing, and a burn that stays clean from spark to roach, Mint Spritzer is pure luxury smoke. This strain lands hard in the Dream category for its sedative, stoney effects that quiet the head and melt the body. It’s premium Portland flower built to tuck you in and shut the world out.

LOWD’s Island Octane is jet fuel for the senses—bred from Amaretto Sour x Chem 91 and dialed in for those who like their flower loud, sharp, and heavy-hitting. Testing at 26.3% THC and 27% total cannabinoids, this strain is pure high-octane smoke with flavor that hits as bold as the name. Spark it up and get blasted with a wave of chemmy gas layered with nutty sweetness and a sharp citrus edge that lingers long after the exhale.
The terpene engine roars with limonene, caryophyllene, and myrcene out front. Limonene sparks a zesty mental lift, caryophyllene drops spicy depth with stress-crushing relief, and myrcene smooths the ride into a steady, body-friendly buzz. Backed by pinene and humulene, the full profile creates a high that’s electric and clear-headed on the top while anchoring the body in calm, functional flow. The effect is fast, euphoric, and high-energy—designed to keep you moving without burning you out.
As always, LOWD keeps it premium—elite genetics, precision curing, and flower that burns clean from start to finish. Island Octane belongs in the Activate category because it doesn’t idle; it revs. Perfect for daytime sessions, creative sparks, or powering through the grind, this is Portland-grown fire tuned for maximum performance.
